Information

The Venue

The museum is open to the public until 5pm, please be respectful of visitors. A lift is available to access the reception rooms (2nd floor). We encourage you to explore the galleries, your entrance is included as a guest, but please keep drinks on the second floor only.

The Céilí

A céilí is a traditional Irish dance. Don't worry if you don't know the moves—a "caller" will be there to teach everyone the steps! It's great fun, so please bring sensible shoes to dance the night away.

Dress Code

Cocktail. Colourful clothing is encouraged; please avoid all white or all black.

Gifts

We appreciate guests travelling and gifting their presence. If you wish to give a gift, there is a "cagnotte de mariage".

Parking

Free parking is available in the car park at the Bowes Museum.

A few more notes:

  • Please keep devices off during the ceremony.
  • We will both be keeping our respective family names.
  • This is a child-free event (with the exception of Rhys's nephew, Arthur).
